PCP use can result in dangerous hallucinations along with aggressive behavior. It was originally used as an anesthetic to dead pain during surgeries, as a result of this it gives the user a feeling of invulnerability. A person high on PCP will most likely have an experience that is dangerous to others around them such as law enforcement officers or hospital personnel who may need to handle the person. The effects are also dangerous and even deadly to the user themselves. PCP users have been observed assaulting others or mutilating themselves without any regard for injury to themselves. There was an incident where a man high on PCP took off running at a police cruiser and threw his entire body across the hood and into the windshield. The user feels no pain, the drugged individual lacks any rational judgment, thinks of themselves as invulnerable, and is often aggressive and willing to harm himself or others. Stop putting yourself and others in harms way and call one of our addiction specialists today to start a new beautiful life that you deserve!

PCP Addiction down to the roots

PCP Addiction started back in the 1980’s when it first became popular and gained a bad reputation for being dangerous. In 2012 PCP started gaining popularity and is generally grouped with club drugs like Ecstasy, LSD, and ketamine which are all drugs with very risky effects. PCP is highly addictive and it’s possible that a person cannot stop using the drug even if they see that damage is occurring. Cravings with drive him or her back to the drug even though it has potentially life threatening effects. Continuous use of PCP will lead to a PCP addiction and will put the user and their loved ones in a very dangerous situation that is hard to overcome.

Effects of a PCP Addiction

An individual with a PCP addiction will notice the effects are disabling towards them. When high on PCP the user may breath shallowly, be flushed, sweat excessively, and feel very numb. The user may move with poor coordination and be extremely nauseated which causes them to vomit. Their eyes may flicker up and down or they may be stuck staring at nothing. The user will also experience delusions and other serious mental effects. Deep into a PCP addiction where the user has been ingesting the drug for long periods of time they will experience memory loss, difficulty speaking, thinking clearly, and are likely to be very depressed. The PCP addict will lose the ability to complete tasks or communicate with others. They will begin to isolate themselves and withdrawal from being around others and most likely enter a completely psychotic state where they lose all control of themselves. Before you get to this state call one of our certified addiction councilors and get the proper care for your PCP addiction.
